This is a bespoke service when its a 1:1 as you will have a free consultation prior to your practice, where we can discuss what things you may be looking to work on ie; sleep, anxiety, self confidence, chronic pain or relaxation and learning to let go. The practice of Yoga Nidra is pure relaxation both for the body and mind and has so many benefits. Yoga Nidra can be practiced by anyone, but is especially good for those who struggle to let go, difficulty sleeping, stressed or suffer with anxiety. Yoga Nidra literally means, yogic sleep" and is an ancient technique used for hundreds of years. You will experience a deep state of conscious relaxation, as the as you enter a state of deep sleep, so much so its said that one hour of Yoga Nidra can give you the same benefits of a 4 hour sleep. This calm state slows down the nervous system giving the body time to heal. This is where the body can rest, recover and restore effortlessly. Additionally, Yoga Nidra reduces inflammation, improves the immune system functions to treat chronic pain effectively. Whilst in the practice of Yoga Nidra the body enters a healing state, as the mind settles in a place between wakefulness and sleep (Alpha and Theta state) which allows you to wake-up feeling refreshed, relaxed with a feeling of tranquility. Yoga nidra works with the autonomic nervous system. The autonomic nervous system regulates processes of the body that take place without a conscious effort (heartbeat, breathing, digestion and blood flow). Yoga nidra is like meditation, but yet it’s not, There are overlaps, but there also are key differences. With yoga nidra, you are lying down and the goal is to move into a deep state of conscious awareness sleep, which is a deeper state of relaxation with awareness. This practice is guided like some meditation practices, but it’s much more structured. With meditation, you’re sitting and in a waking state of consciousness while focusing the mind and allowing thoughts to come and go. *The price is for a 1:1 if you would like a group please message me for more info.
